POWERTEST 8100i DC Power Supply Functional Test System
The POWERTEST 8100i DC power supply functional test system is an "open-ended" tester that is configurable with the widest assortment of source, load and measurement instrumentation available now and into the future. It is particularly well suited to production facilities where rapidly changing test requirements require a reconfigurable tester capable of high power.
Industry Standard Architecture
The POWERTEST 8100i is based on the VXIbus standard; the successor to GPIB rack-and-stack systems and proprietary instrument-on-a-card backplanes. Unlike the latter, which limits the user to cards from a single manufacturer, the open architecture of the VXIbus gives the user the freedom to incorporate modular instruments from a wide variety of manufacturers. In this way, the VXIbus interface permits the user to add or substitute instrument cards quickly and easily as test requirements change.
Widest Choice of Instruments
NH Research has developed several VXIbus modules which comprise the heart of the 8100i measurement system. Multifunction modules and increased circuit densities have resulted in high performance from a minimal ensemble of modules while leaving more VXIbus chassis expansion capability. Alternately, the new VXIbus Parallel Measurement Module can be used in applications where test throughput is a priority. When these modules are combined with a wide choice of AC sources, DC sources and electronic loads, the 8100i can satisfy the most demanding test requirements.
