    Company History

    Founded in 1975, Prime Data addressed the test industries, providing services to cover the test instrument industry. From 1979 to 1982, the company was affiliated with Dataquest, another high-technology research firm, as its instrumentation group. In 1983, Prime Data again became a separate corporation. Prime Data added coverage of VXI in 1991. In 1993, the user survey product line was acquired from Oasis Computer Solutions. Communications test has become the major driving force for the test instrument industry. In 1997, an industry service dedicated to the communications test market was initiated.

    Prime Data provides current and pertinent data and analysis to the entire spectrum of worldwide companies that compete in the industries followed—from the largest established manufacturers to the newest entrants.
