Quality Systems and Mercury Interactive Integrate Products
Quality Systems & Software, a provider of enterprise-wide requirements management solutions for the development of products and services, today announced the integration of DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System) with Mercury Interactive's TestDirector, an integrated management tool for organizing and managing the testing process. Both DOORS' open environment and Mercury Interactive's Open Test Architecture make a seamless link between the two products possible.
The integrated solution will allow project teams to fully trace end user requirements from the initial design stage through final testing. As a result, project managers will be able to easily map functional and stress tests to specific end user requirements, ensuring that the testing program remains linked to design goals. The new solution provides a simple, cost-effective way to ensure that applications meet end users' needs in the areas of functionality, performance, accuracy and reliability.
As a first step toward integration, Mercury Interactive has joined the DOORSConnect Partners Program at QSS, while QSS has signed on as a member of Mercury Interactive's Open Test Architecture Alliance Program. The relationship will permit various joint marketing activities in connection with the new integrated solution.
The DOORSConnect TestDirector interface is targeted for General Availability late second quarter 1999.
