The MRA 4 from Advantest Corp. is a memory repair tool for multiple simultaneous testing. It performs the redundancy analysis test for large capacity memory testing at 10 times the speed of the company's MRA 3 unit. The MRA4 operates on the T5571P, a 125 MHz memory test system that reduces front-end test time.

To gain the essential information for memory repair, the MRA4 uses a complex repair algorithm system and carries out memory repair analysis with multi-CPU architecture and parallel processing hardware. Memory repair feasibility data based on fail count, line fail repair, and bit fail address, are reported.

The Multi-CPU architecture uses the common memory at the interface of the CPUs to improve the communications speed between CPUs, and to reduce the time necessary to transmit data. The built-in hardware automatically detects the failed cells and limits the analysis area.
