RF Test Sockets

Aries Electronics has introduced a line of high performance RF test sockets for high-frequency testing applications. The upgraded product line features a new compliant pressure pad mounted in the lid. The pad can squeeze a device onto the socket's contact pins, accommodating up to .020 in. differential between the device and socket. The squeezing action guarantees full compression of the test socket's Microstrip contact within a range of device tolerances.
A minimum of 500,000 cycles can be expected in most applications. The test sockets are constructed of high performance polythermide thermoplastic material and gold-plated contacts. The RF test sockets feature a small form factor and are typically 0.250 in. larger on each side than the device footprint. Standard designs accommodate Delta, Daymarc, Synanx, Exatron, Aseco, and Advantest handlers.
