RFI's new South African agency is EMC Assist based in Cape Town. EMC Assist is promoting RFI's EMC, Radio Performance, Bluetooth, Fixed microwave link test and approval capabilities. Eric Winter, EMC Assist's Managing Director believes that RFI's international recognition and "complete solutions" capability is important for customers who intend entering new, world-wide markets for their products. Eric commented, "In addition to its test facilities and global testing services, RFI is able to provide the required information for global market entry requirements. This is invaluable at the product planning and developing stages. A further factor that brings RFI's standing into focus is RFI's global brand recognition, which is highly regarded and means, amongst other things, that their test reports are accepted worldwide."
Grant Taylor, head of RFI-Wireless commenting on the new agencies said, "Africa is one of the fastest growing wireless markets in the world and a trend that is set to continue, its subscriber base increased by almost 50% last year. It is vital that we are active in this market and the appointment of an agency with local knowledge and contacts will help us to exploit the potential for our services in the region".
Special Industries S.p.A head-quartered in Milan, is a distributor of products and services to the telecommunications, military, space, automotive and industrial hi-technology sectors. Special Industries will promote RFI's wireless test and approval services throughout Italy.
Silvano Polidori, Special Industries' General Manager commenting on the appointment said, "A key factor in our decision to become affiliated with RFI is the company's approach to our customer certification needs. RFI offers a unique "time-to-market" approach together with less total costs through a complete approval solution."
