Saelig Introduces Versatile Rigol 500MHz 16-Bit Signal Generators

Rigol DG5000 Pro models offer faster sampling and a larger screen size.

Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the Rigol DG5000 Pro Series Signal Generators with up to 2.5GSa/s sampling and 64Mpts/ch memory depth (128Mpts/ch optional). The three models in the DG5000 Pro series are DG5252 Pro (250MHz), DG5352 Pro (350MHz), and DG5502 Pro (500MHz). The isolated dual-channel DG5000 Pro Series are all-in-one generators that integrate Function Generation, Arbitrary Waveform Generation, Noise Generation, Pulse Generation, Harmonics Generation, and Analog/Digital Modulation. They can be powered from an attached battery pack to provide ground isolation and facilitating field test situations. All the 16-bit vertical resolution Pro models are priced significantly lower than the equivalent 14-bit Rigol DG5000 predecessors and offer improved specifications such as faster sampling and a larger 10.1'' HD touch screen, which allows configuring dual-channel waveforms on a single screen.

Features of the series include:

  • Dual-channel isolated outputs
  • AM/FM/PM/ASK/FSK/PSK/SUM modulation
  • Up to 500MHz signal generation
  • Phase alignment
  • Adjustable time delay
  • 2-Channel Synchronization
  • Pulse width & time-delay adjustable
  • Pulse & Square waves >120 MHz
  • Square: 170 MHz max. frequency, 0.8 ns min. rise time
  • Pulse: 120 MHz max. frequency, 4.2 ns min. pulse width
  • Sequence mode (up to 128 waveforms, including complex sequencing)
  • Built-in high-order harmonic generator (max. 20th order)
  • Max Arb waveform length 64Mpts/ch (128Mpts opt.)
  • Software Options: Sequence, IQ modulation, Multi-pulse, Pattern, Multi-tone
  • Standard Web Control function for easy remote cooperation
  • Supports external modulation

For design engineers and researchers who need to generate high-frequency waveforms and/or complex sequence generation capabilities, the DG5000 Pro series are ideal instruments for use in embedded circuit design & test, power device verification, automotive control unit simulation, medical & industrial electronics test, etc. The DG5000 Pro Series Signal Generators offer isolated outputs, superior square wave performance, complex sequence generation, integrated arbitrary waveform creation & editing via a user-friendly UI on a large display. They can simulate test situations supporting optoelectronic device research, logic chip development, power semiconductor development and manufacture, etc.
