Saelig Introduces High-Precision DC And AC Current Shunt Meter

GW Instek PCS

With Simultaneous Current/Voltage Display  high precision shunt meter with five current levels for power product measurements

Fairport, NY - Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the GW Instek PCS-1000 - a DC and AC Current Shunt Meter with built-in current shunts offering high-accuracy current measurement capabilities. The PCS-1000 not only measures current in five levels ─300A, 30A, 3A, 300mA and 30mA, but also simultaneously measures and displays voltage with 6-1/2 digit resolution. Due to the design of the high-stability and low-temperature coefficient shunts, the GW Instek PCS-1000 maintains high measurement accuracy even during the temperature variations encountered during long-duration operation.

The maximum voltage/current measurement ranges of PCS-1000, including DC 1000V / AC 600V / DC 300A / AC 300A, meet the current and voltage measurement challenges of many applications such as R&D, quality verification, and testing situations for power products, power supplies, communications systems, servers, and electronic loads. The PCS-1000 uses five high-precision shunt resistors (0.001ohm, 0.01ohm, 0.1ohm, 1ohm, and 10ohm) as the basis for accurate current and voltage measurements with a current measurement range from 30mA to 300A.

The all-in-one design makes the GW Instek PCS-1000 a valuable addition to any test workbench, and features a USB interface for control and data download and a GPIB interface for SCPI commands.

Included: User's manual, AC power cord, GTL-105A alligator clip test lead (3A Max), GTL-207 banana plug test lead, GTL-240 USB cable, and a PCS-001 basic accessory kit.

Made by the test and measurement specialists GW Instek, the PCS-1000 High-Precision DC/AC Current Shunt Meter is available now from Saelig Company, Inc.
