Vibra-Metrics announced the re-design of the Sensor Highway Controller that will allow for the accommodation of features in the product line.

The upgrade of the controller and its firmware allow for control of eight Sensor Highways over the existing eight-twisted-pair cable. Each can interface with 255 accelerometers and 255 voltage source sensors, allowing for interface capability of over 4,000 individual sensors.

With the controller upgrade, the product will retain the ability to communicate with each transducer. The controller can maintain communication with each transducer.

The product is a single-cable, open-architecture on-line predictive maintenance system that connects many analog devices. Accelerometers and other transducers connect with a centrally-located control panel for monitoring machine performance.
