Static Sensor
The static sensor measure voltages up to 20,000 kV on surfaces and reads accurately to +5% of full measurement scale from a 1in distance. The sensor's plastic housing is conductive and allows a properly grounded user to dissipate all electrostatic charges from the surface of the meter.
A discrete field-sensing element in the front of the unit picks up the static electric field being generated by an electrostatic charge on an object or surface. The unit's internal circuitry then converts this field measurement into the corresponding voltage for that electrostatic charge.
The air ionizer test kit is a separate option consisting of a charger plate and charger used with the static sensor to verify air ionizer performance.
