The WBK16 is a software-programmable, portable PC-based strain measurement system

The WBK16 is a software-programmable, portable PC-based strain measurement system. The system incorporates an IOtech WaveBook/512 as the digitizer engine, and offers eight strain measurement channels, and eight general-purpose analog input channels expandable to a mix of 72 strain gage and analog input channels. With 12-bit resolution and acquisition speeds up to 1 MHz, the system is designed for applications that require high-speed signal capture, such as engine strain, auto chassis, component, aerospace structural, mechanical integrity, and destructive testings.

The system is software-programmable for gain, bridge selection, auto balance, excitation, and filter, eliminating the need to manually set jumpers or switches. The WBK16 features programmable bridge selection. Each channel can be pre-configured for up to four bridge configurations that can be selected on a per-channel basis, using the included WaveView Out-of-the-Box graphical display-and-data-acquisition software, or via a program written in C, Visual Basic, and LabView.

Suitable for almost any strain gage application, the WBK16 system supports a wide range of bridge resistance values from 60 to 1,000 ohms and can be configured in either standard, full, half, or quarter-bridge configurations plus 6-wire Kelvin and 3-wire quarter-bridge configurations.
