Sunrise Telecom Provides New CM2800E Test Solution For Telenet
CM2800E delivers the fastest, non-interfering and highest resolution sweep, combined with triple-play and network service analysis.
San Jose, CA - Sunrise Telecom Inc., a leader in test and measurement solutions for telecom, wireless and cable networks, recently announced that Telenet, Belgium's largest MSO, has standardized on Sunrise Telecom's CM2800E for its cable services field technicians. Telenet's selection of the CM2800E strengthens its long-term, trusting relationship with Sunrise Telecom.
"Our choice was largely based on technical merits, ease-of-use and compatibility with the existing headend and hub equipment deployed in the network," said Mark Kerstens, lab manager from Telenet.
"Providing complex services, such as higher quality digital video (HD), higher speed data services, VoIP services and video on demand services, elicited a need to upgrade our network and our test tools with advanced functionalities," said Dirk Speybroeck, Telenet's Vice President of Service Assurance. "The CM2800E will play a vital role in further increasing the reliability of service to our customers."
Sunrise Telecom's CM2800E combines non-intrusive, high-resolution sweep and triple play services, including video, cable modem, and VoIP analysis in one easy-to-use, full-featured instrument. The CM2800E's familiar Windows® CE platform and best-in-class user interface helps technicians simplify and speed up diagnosis of the network, increasing productivity and efficiency in the field.
"With rapidly evolving technologies being deployed in CATV networks, the CM2800E with its unique DSP technology implementation will allow our customers, including Telenet, to maintain their technological edge. The CM2800E increases quality of service and technicians' effectiveness in the field, ultimately resulting in better customer satisfaction," said My Chung, Sunrise Telecom senior vice president of global sales.
Sunrise Telecom worked with its distributor Heynen (www.heynen.com) to standardize Telenet on the new CM2800E.
"Heynen is proud to represent Sunrise Telecom in Benelux. This project is an ideal fit with our capabilities and business activities," said David Agresti, account manager broadband for Belgium and Luxembourg.
The CM2800E is immediately available from Sunrise Telecom and supports DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS and Annex A, B & C.
