TTC, a Dynatech company, announces a test solution that enhances local exchange carriers' ability to provide their residential customers with high-speed Internet access and improved service quality. The TTC T-BERD 109XC accomplishes this by incorporating all-in-one, icon-driven, voice and data testing in a rugged, mobile computing platform.

The TTC T-BERD 109C's features include a DVOM, TIMS, open meter, TDR, POTS handset, and ISDN handset with BERT. All user interaction is completed by means of a graphical user interface that is consistent between POTS and ISDN testing applications, enabling users to learn to test digital services more quickly. The closeout test feature of this integrated tester allows carriers to define an automated acceptance test to be used when closing trouble tickets or qualifying new service orders for POTS and ISDN. The resulting far-end test results can then be automatically appended to the applicable trouble ticket or service order for future usage.
