TDK Acquires EMC Automation Inc.

TDK U.S.A. Corporation (TUC) announced the acquisition of EMC Automation Inc., a design and manufacturer of test systems used for electronic noise measurements. EMC Automation, based in Austin, TX, will be operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of TUC.

TUC president Ken Aoshima commented on the significance of today's announcement, noting: This acquisition is an important next step in TDK's ability to provide solutions to the problem of electronic noise interference. TDK has the product design knowledge and core ferrite technology needed for the manufacture of radiowave absorbing materials, EMC suppression components, and anechoic chambers. With the acquisition of EMCA's test systems capability, TDK will be able to add EMC test services for its customers, thereby providing a complete solution from product design to product certification.
