Tektronix Names Wills President of Measurement Business

Tektronix (Wilsonville, OR) named Richard H. Wills president of the Measurement Business Division (MBD), replacing Dan Terpack, 57, who will retire later this year. Wills, 44, a 20-year veteran of Tektronix, was most recently president of European Operations. He assumes his new responsibilities May 1 and reports to Chairman and CEO Jerry Meyer.

"I would like to thank Dan for the fine job he did while president," said Meyer. "Dan has, over the years, transformed this business into a modern organization with a solid, well-managed infrastructure. He has steered this business through some tough times and now has it pointed in the direction of growth."

Wills has held a variety of senior management, international and operational positions during his Tektronix career. Prior to the post of president of the Americas Operations, Wills led the MBD Design, Service and Test business unit and was responsible for the company's core oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and accessories products. In addition he served as worldwide director of marketing for MBD, as well as the manager for several MBD product lines.

Wills holds an MBA from the University of Oregon, and has a bachelor's degree in computer systems from Linfield College in Oregon.

Before joining Tektronix, Wills spent six years in the U.S. Air Force with assignments in the U.S. and Europe supporting military communication systems and advanced electronic avionics.
