Tektronix' TDS200 Oscilloscope Available with Four Channels

Tektronix introduced the TDS224, a four-channel, real-time, 100-MHz digital oscilloscope.

The company has sold more than 100,000 of the Model TDS200 oscilloscope in less than three years. The TDS224 oscilloscope offers all the features of the TDS200 as well as the advantage of four channels. The increased number of channels allows engineers to see a clock signal with multiple data signals present.

These 60- and 100-MHz units are designed for use by digital design engineers and technicians working with 8-bit micro-controllers. The series is also used in the manufacturing and service sectors, where a compact, general-purpose instrument is required.

The TDS200 Series oscilloscopes rely on the company's oversampling technology, facilitated by its DSOs. The TDS210, TDS220, and the TDS224, sample at 1 GS/s, providing full bandwidth single-shot acquisition simultaneously on all channels. This technology enables users to capture non-repetitive signals that would be invisible to analog oscilloscopes and distorted by DSO's without sufficient sample rate.

The series features automatic measurements, autoset, and storage of waveforms and instrument set-ups. Other features include dedicated vertical scale and position knobs for each channel and a 10-language user interface.
