Magtrol, Inc. of Buffalo, New York introduces In-Line Torque Transducers
Buffalo, NY – Magtrol, Inc. of Buffalo, New York introduces In-Line Torque Transducers, a new and innovative product line for measuring torque. Much unlike other designs, Magtrol's unique, non-contact differential transformer measuring technology avoids rotation of electronic components during operation.

These top of the line Torque Transducers provide an extremely accurate alternative for measuring torque and speed over a very broad range. Each model has an integrated conditioning electronic module providing 0 to ±10 VDC torque output, open collector speed output and a direction of rotation signal. The transducers also provide high overload protection and excellent long term stability making for a very reliable product. Other features and benefits include active compensation of drift due to temperature effects, torsional stiffness superior to that of strain gauge systems, low mass inertia, maintenance-free operation, stainless steel shaft and no sliprings. With accuracy at 0.1% FSD, a speed range from 0 to 50,000 RPM and 20 kHz variable-transformer coupling, the Magtrol Torque Transducer is the best solution for your torque measurement needs.

Magtrol is offering 4 different Torque Transducer options to choose from. The models vary in price and performance and include the TMB series for basic accuracy, the TM series for high accuracy, the TMHS for high speed and high accuracy and the highly accurate TMF for compact, bearingless torque transducers.

To enhance the capabilities of the Torque Transducer, Magtrol also provides the Model 6400 Display. This item provides excitation to the Torque Transducer and displays torque, speed, mechanical power and direction of rotation. For numerous data acquisition capabilities, the 6400 can also be interfaced with Magtrol Torque Measuring software packages.

Magtrol Torque Transducers are currently used in a vast number of industries and applications, including automotive, aerospace, machine tools and motor and drive manufacturers. The transducers are also commonly used in testing gearboxes, clutches and brakes, motorized valves, drills and electric and pneumatic tools.
