The 801P can deliver 810 VA of AC power at any combination of utility voltage and frequency. In addition, the 500 Hz upper frequency range supports 400 Hz avionics applications. This power level covers a wide range of applications. Higher power models are available in the same product family if needed.

These compact and lightweight sources feature universal input, allowing the products to be operated with virtually any AC input voltage from 85V to 264V without the need for input range switching. Output voltage is continuously variable in two ranges from 0 - 135 V or 0 - 270 V. Frequency is variable from 16 Hz to 500 Hz. Both of these primary functions can be set with simple rotary controls and are monitored by large, high contrast LCD readouts. A most useful feature not normally found in low cost supplies is the user programmable current limit function. The output current can be limited to provide protection for the load under test against over current conditions. The load current can also be monitored via the built-in current measurement function, eliminating the need for current shunts or current transformers. In fact, the P series units can completely replace a Variac, a Digital Voltmeter and a Digital Current meter, with the added benefit of programming, for most test setup's.

Connecting a load to the P series unit is easier than on most AC power sources since both US and European style output sockets are provided. The output can be disconnected using a front panel push-button, enhancing operator safety. These units provide a simple and cost effective test platform for manufacturers of AC powered products that are sold world wide. Ensuring proper operation of AC powered equipment under all possible line power combinations present in the world will reduce the likelihood of field failures and costly returns.

For ATE applications, the 801P can be equipped with the optional RS232C remote control interface, allowing all settings to be programmed using SCPI language commands. A Windows graphical user interface, which allows interactive control of the power source from a PC, is supplied with the interface option.

Prices start at $ 2,450.00 US for the 801P. All P Series models are available for immediate delivery and carry the CE and UL mark.
