Tektronix features handheld access-network analysis technology for use in clearing and testing for xDSL and ISDN services. The measurement capabilities help the communications industry deliver digital services for such applications as high-speed Internet access and video-on-demand.

To provide digital services via DSL requires that lines be clean and free of load coils and split pairs. Additional challenges include overall subscriber loop length, loss and resistance; the distances of closest and longest bridged taps from the central office; wet cable; and bad splices.
