setcom wireless To Demonstrate Live Video Streaming Service With S-CORE LTE Tester At Mobile World Congress
Munich, Germany - At the Mobile World Congress, setcom wireless will debut its new S-CORE LTE (Long Term Evolution) protocol tester. The company will demonstrate a live video streaming service using commercially-available user equipment (UE). Mobile World Congress 2009 will be held in Barcelona, Spain, February 16-19. The demonstration can be viewed at the setcom wireless stand 2D74 (2-0).
S-CORE LTE for chipset and user equipment developers
The S-CORE is a 3GPP release 8-compliant R&D and conformance test environment for LTE base band and protocol testing. Developed in close collaboration with industry-leading handset and chipset manufacturers, vendors, and test-houses, S-CORE guarantees ease-of-use, value, and flexibility to support existing and upcoming technologies. Providing R&D and conformance testing of the LTE base band, protocol stack, network services, and the application layer, all in one complete system.
With S-CORE, setcom wireless created a test solution that enables UE and chipset developers to meet their earliest LTE R&D testing requirements. Committed to an open architecture, S-CORE is designed to add new capabilities on demand, as soon as the technology evolves.
Emulating a full E-UTRAN (LTE) network, S-CORE enables engineers to test base band performance and control all protocol messaging at layers 1, 2 & 3 and into the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) / IP domain, with real-time logging of the complete protocol exchange sent and received over a traditional RF or digital base band connection to the UE, reference design or chipset implementation.
With S-CORE, LTE developers can test designs earlier and more completely, to shorten the development cycle and accelerate time to market.
