Tent Test Enclosures From Saelig Offer -98.9 dB Shielding

dB Shielding

High attenuation RF / EMI Portable Tent Test Enclosures certified by independent testing.

Saelig Company, Inc. has announced Select-A-Shield Portable Test Enclosures which provide high RF / EMI attenuation for a variety of “EMI quiet” applications. Providing an average shielding effectiveness (SE) of -98.9 dB at commonly used cellular and Wi-Fi frequencies, these quickly-erected, collapsible test enclosures conserve space when not in use, and are easy to transport.

With a minimum shielding performance of -85 dB from 30 MHz to 10 GHz, these tents offer a significant improvement in flexible enclosures. External aluminum tent support can be fixed frame or E-Z Up assemblies so that they can be taken down and stored when not in use, saving valuable lab space. The tent and frame can be placed into hard shell rolling cases and their lightweight design allows affordable shipping via standard shipping services. Unlike hard wall enclosures, these portable tents can be used in multiple locations and applications, indoors or outdoors, including remote sites. Multiple layers of Nova Select conductive fabric are used for the basic RF test enclosure construction, with an internal or external vestibule being an important part of the design. The vestibule provides entry and exit for personnel during test procedures without compromising the integrity of the test application. A Patent-pending door system features two rows of conductive magnets with ROHS-compliant Nova Select fabric used as a conductive gasket.

Each tent can be customized to suit individual applications, with options such as: size and orientation, integrated high performance filters for AC power configurations up to 100 Amps; multiple communication connectors including Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0 while assuring high attenuation performance; ventilation/air-conditioning, white ESD lining, and hardened, motion-detecting LED lighting for operator comfort, etc.

Applications include: wireless device testing, EMC pre-compliance testing, secure communications, satellite communications, medical equipment shielding, operator safety, etc.

These high-attenuation enclosures are made for Saelig Company Inc. by Select Fabricators, Inc. - a premier US manufacturer of RF portable, collapsible fabric shielding solutions including signal reduction enclosures, pouches and curtains.
